They're currently on discounted sale for the next few days on both Amazon and AliExpress (I would probably get from Ali because of my location, but it being on Amazon too lends it some credibility), down to $55 for 128GB.
They have good reviews on both sites, but I haven't found them mentioned on here at all, and I trust you guys (mostly! <3).
I have an i7, 16GB RAM build that is a beast once it gets going but the long startup times from my ancient system disk (it's a WDC WD3200JD-00KLB0 which seems to be from 2006/2007 and has 1.5Gb/s throughput) are depressing. It's a bit hilarious really that I've let it go that long (and impressed that it still doesn't show any signs of failure) but honestly it's probably just a budget thing. I'm in a low value currency market where things like hard drives are imported so end up costing 'more' in real terms when compared to cost of living. Hence being interested in these budget drives.
So what do you think? Does anyone have any experience with them? Would you stay away? I don't plan on putting any vital data on them, just replacing my system/start-up disk.
